4th May 2007Gaelic Choir filming in AberfeldyVisitors to Aberfeldy enjoyed an early morning musical extravaganza on Sunday 29th April, when the Aberfeldy & District Gaelic Choir joined up with the Pitlochry & Blair Atholl Pipe Band. The event was organised by Freddie Davies, whose production company Stage One Films is putting together the Choir’s latest DVD, filmed at various events over the past 4 years. “It all went very well” said Freddie “and the police were very helpful with traffic control, as we did need Wade’s Bridge closed to get the dramatic shots of the Pipe Band marching over it towards the Black Watch Monument where they joined up with the Choir. The biggest problem was a cold east wind, but the Choir members showed characteristic resilience and smiled for the cameras!”
The DVD will be released to coincide with the Aberfeldy & District
Gaelic Choir’s 40th Anniversary next month. It will be on general
release, but copies will be available locally from The Sheep Shop in Pitlochry,
and at various other venues.
