Good Results at our Local Mod

Well done to everyone who made the Perthshire & Angus Provincial Mod such a success!

Aberfeldy & District Gaelic Choir was placed second in both its competitions; Stirling Gaelic Choir won the Puirt a Beul contest, with Mull Gaelic Choir winning the Westcroft Trophy for the singing of two four-part own-choice songs. Aberfeldy won the Cuach Clachmhor for achieving the highest marks in Gaelic, while Mull also won the Janet MacIntyre Trophy for the highest marks in music.

The trophies were presented by Provost Liz Grant (centre) to Aberfeldy's May Brown and Mary Stewart (left), Stirling's Jane McQueen, and Mull's conductor Elizabeth Jack (right).

The post-Mod ceilidh took place in the evening at the Moness Hotel and Country Club, and was again a great success.
